About this role

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Elasticsearch) Shiji Poland Daily tasks: - Administering and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters in production environments - Designing concepts, building, implementing and developing Elasticsearch components in cooperation with developers and architects - Analyzing platform performance and creating recommendations for infrastructure improvements related to Elasticsearch environments - Advising developers and architects in the field of application and infrastructure development with a focus on Elasticsearch best practices - Implementing and maintaining backup & restore procedures, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Elasticsearch clusters - Ensuring security, availability and reliability of Elasticsearch environments - Creating and maintaining technical and non-technical documentation related to Elasticsearch and supporting tooling - Maintaining infrastructure as code and supporting operational excellence initiatives - Collaborating closely with development teams to provide operational support and optimize system performance - Participating in incident management and troubleshooting processes Musts: AWS, Linux, GitLab Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as DevOps / SRE / SysAdmin / Backend Developer Minimum 1 year of commercial experience in deployment, development and maintenance of Elasticsearch platforms in production environments Strong practical knowledge of Elasticsearch administration, troubleshooting and performance optimization Experience with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts Understanding of distributed systems concepts and basic networking principles Experience working with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab is a plus) Nice to have Practical knowledge of AWS services Knowledge of Terraform and Python Elasticsearch certifications Shiji Group provides software solutions and services for the hospitality, food service, retail and entertainment industries, ranging from hotel management solutions, to food and beverage and retail systems, payment gateways, data management, online distribution and more.

Daylight PMS is a distributed system that serves the hospitality industry. It is a solution that allows hotel employees or hotel managers to handle various activities such as managing reservations, payments and hotel services within the hotel or between hotels. The system consists of many domain-oriented microservices developed under a few cross-functional teams. Technologies used in our team: AWS Terraform Kubernetes Ansible Elasticsearch Kafka PostgreSQL VictoriaMetrics Hashicorp stack Gitlab Nexus Our system: Our primary cloud service provider is AWS.

We use most of the popular services including EC2, S3, RDS, SES, SNS and many more We write all of our infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt Our application that is written in .NET Core runs on top of Kubernetes cluster deployed in EKS We have very large observability stack that includes collecting logs and metrics and visualizing it in Grafana and Kibana Cloud Infrastructure Team is also responsible for managing GitLab, Jenkins and Nexus We write our internal tool set using Python and Golang Additional Information How We Work: Please note that: We are looking for candidates based in the Silesia region (office in Katowice.
