About this role

Working remotely, the full-time Colorado Licensed Health Benefits Counselor will manage patient financial information to determine eligibility for programs, verify coverage for procedures, and act as a liaison among patients, healthcare providers, and billing offices. Key responsibilities Evaluate patient financial information to determine qualification for charity programs and payment arrangements Verify coverage and authorization for scheduled procedures using scheduling and registration information Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and billing offices to gather necessary information for benefit authorization Required qualifications 6 months of healthcare experience Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding Familiarity with medical terminology and customer service skills High School Diploma or GED required CPR Certification (as required by facility)
