Data Engineer
About this role
Data Engineer Bayer Daily tasks: - Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models. - Integrate and transform data from operational and cloud-based sources. - Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports. - Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot data issues, support incident resolution, and maintain reporting reliability. - Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of data products.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions. - Optimize and maintain existing reporting solutions. Musts: Python Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or digital application operations.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools, such as AWS Glue, Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or comparable technologies. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including relational database concepts. Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS. Experience with RESTful APIs and data integration. Experience with Power BI, including semantic models, dashboard development, and report maintenance.
Ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholders to solve problems and collaborate effectively across teams. Strong analytical and communication skills. Fluent English; German language skills are preferred. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience in ETL/ELT, Python, SQL, AWS, RESTful APIs, and Power BI. They are comfortable translating business and technical requirements into reliable data solutions, maintaining reporting products, troubleshooting operational issues, and collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.

The minimum monthly gross compensation for this role is 15 360 with final pay determined based on objective factors such as experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment. This position is eligible for variable pay components , such as performance‑based bonuses, awarded in accordance with the applicable employee group, role scope, and compensation structure.
