About this role

Data Engineer – Snowflake / dbt (Full Remote Contract) Square One Resources Daily tasks: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory - Build and optimize dimensional data models for analytics and reporting - Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture in Snowflake (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) - Develop reliable ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows - Improve data modeling standards and identify areas for optimization - Collaborate with engineering and business teams using Jira and GitHub - Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across analytics solutions Musts: Snowflake, dbt, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL, Azure Data Factory, GitHub Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt (required), Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Dimensional Data Modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts and best practices Experience building production-grade data pipelines and analytics solutions Familiarity with GitHub and Jira-based development workflows Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment Ability to work with at least 4 hours overlap with U.S.

Eastern Time Optional Experience with Power BI Experience integrating Salesforce data Previous experience in higher education or ed-tech environments Long-term project for a U.S.-based education services provider supporting online and campus-based post-secondary education programs Client works with learning management systems, student enrollment platforms, and academic operations across web and mobile solutions
