About this role
FinOps Technical SME Mindbox Sp. z o.o. Daily tasks: - Identifying cost drivers and implementing improvements across Azure/AWS/GCP: rightsizing, scheduling, tier optimisation, and commitment planning, with clear tracking of outcomes and savings - Optimising spend for containerised workloads (AKS/Kubernetes) through cluster sizing, autoscaling, node pool strategies, workload scheduling, and non-prod environment controls - Building and maintaining reusable Terraform modules that embed landing zone standards: tagging, cost allocation, policy compliance, and guardrails - Implementing and operating cloud governance patterns to prevent resource sprawl and improve allocation accuracy (tagging/metadata standards, policy-as-code, compliant baselines) - Automating optimisation and operational controls via PowerShell/Bash, pipelines, and configuration standards in line with DevSecOps ways of working - Supporting forecasting and variance analysis by translating platform consumption data into actionable engineering and financial decisions; producing clear stakeholder narratives - Aligning closely with platform teams, delivery squads, and finance partners on cost targets, operational requirements, and technical constraints - Translating business needs into scalable, production-grade cloud architectures, balancing performance, resilience, and cost efficiency Musts: Cloud, DevOps, Azure, Networking, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, AKS, Terraform, CD, PowerShell, Bash script, SQL 5+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Cloud / Cloud DevOps Engineer, including Azure solution architecture Strong working knowledge of Azure (core services, identity, networking, governance) and solid understanding of AWS and GCP cost drivers and pricing mechanics Hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms in production (AKS/GKE) Strong Terraform skills: modular design, reusable components, CI/CD integration, governance-in-code Practical understanding of FinOps principles: cost allocation, showback/chargeback, optimisation levers, and cost governance Automation capability: PowerShell/Bash scripting, configuration management, DevSecOps delivery models Data skills for cost/usage analysis including SQL; ability to turn consumption data into actionable insight Strong communication and stakeholder management across engineering and financial audiences Nice to have: Experience designing or automating cost optimisation reporting pipelines (via APIs, scripted automation) Multi-cloud depth (AWS, GCP) and familiarity with cloud-native data services (e.g., BigQuery) Background in financial services FinOps Certified Practitioner, Cloudability/Apptio, or cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP) Finance qualification Joining this project you’ll become part of Mindbox – a tech-driven company where consulting, engineering, and talent meet to build meaningful digital solutions.
