Infrastructure engineer
About this role
Infrastructure engineer XIAG Daily tasks: - Manage and monitor Unix-like systems (primarily Debian/Ubuntu) - Coordinate tasks with developers and other sysadmins - Work with a professional and experienced sysadmin team - Maintain our infrastructure across local and remote environments - Communicate task scope and complexity to stakeholders and managers - Adopt new technologies and implement automation to improve maintainability of our infrastructure and processes - Ensure the security and reliability of systems - Share 24x7 coverage of monitoring alerts in coordinated shifts with the rest of the team Musts: Git, Ubuntu, TLS, Ansible, SaltStack, Linux Must-have requirements: Knowledge of TLS/x509 certificates, encryption basics Verbal and written communication skills in English Team collaboration skills Ability and motivation to learn about new technologies and approaches Experience in system administration (Debian, Ubuntu) Solid understanding of Linux systems and network stack Hands-on experience with SCM (git) and configuration management tools (Ansible/SaltStack) Familiarity with distributed systems Nice to have: Hands-on experience running Kubernetes ClusterEngine: Corosync, Pacemaker Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures.
