About this role
Infrastructure Engineer (VMware & Hyper-V) with German Moondigo Sp. z o.o. Daily tasks: - Planning and executing migrations of virtual environments from VMware to Hyper-V - Analyzing existing infrastructure and recommending optimal migration solutions - Configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Hyper-V environments - Administration of Citrix Virtual Apps / Desktops (VDI) environments - Cooperation with IT teams (network, security, systems) regarding solution integrations - Identifying and resolving issues related to migration and virtual environments - Creating and updating technical documentation - Automating administrative and migration processes - Participating in testing, validation, and system performance optimization - Ensuring service continuity during migration activities Minimum 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V, or similar solutions Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) Practical experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server Very good knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps / Desktops (VDI) Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues Knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, routing, virtual switches) Experience with automation tools (e.g.
PowerShell, PowerCLI) Communicative level of German and English Nice to have: Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN) Understanding of backup solutions Experience with Windows systems integration Understanding of cloud platforms and architectures For our international client from the banking industry, we are looking for a senior specialist responsible for migrating virtual infrastructure from VMware to a Hyper-V environment.
