About this role

Contributing to the end-to-end development and maintenance of mainframe applications, the full-time remote Mainframe Engineer II will enhance existing systems and support production processes while applying strong analytical skills to interpret legacy code. Key responsibilities Develop, test, maintain, and integrate applications/systems while improving existing processes Maintain and enhance mainframe applications through small-to-moderate scope changes across a complex legacy system Participate in a rotating production support schedule to support nightly batch processing Required qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in full-stack application development, including COBOL, DB2, SQL, JCL, and Control-M Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to modify complex, undocumented legacy logic Working knowledge of TSO / ISPF for z/OS Experience with file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, or NDM A collaborative approach and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes
