About this role

Principal Java Engineer GFT Poland Daily tasks: - Develop high-quality Java code for distributed systems - Automate testing and deployment for frequent releases - Collaborate with product owners and business on requirements - Design and build microservices architecture - Monitor production systems and ensure stability - Take ownership of services across the full lifecycle - Implement low-latency and concurrent solutions Musts: Java, Data structures, Functional programming, REST API, TDD, CI/CD, DevOps Hands-on experience with Java 17+ Knowledge of concurrency and low-latency programming Experience with data structures and functional programming Experience with REST APIs and messaging technologies Knowledge of TDD and unit testing frameworks Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices Strong communication skills Ability to work in agile teams Problem-solving mindset and adaptability Experience with AI coding assistants Nice to have Knowledge of Foreign Exchange domain Interest in trading systems Experience with open source contributions Passion for software development outside of work What will you do? You will work on building a modern, in-house FX trading platform supporting pricing, booking, routing, risk management and valuations.
