About this role

To lead the design, implementation, and operations of network modernization, the contract-based Principal Network Engineer will collaborate on complex network solutions, enhance security protocols, and monitor network performance while working remotely. Key responsibilities Collaborate on the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-availability network solutions Work with security teams to enforce and enhance network security protocols, including ZTNA and firewalls Create and maintain thorough documentation for network architecture and design builds Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 4 years in a principal or senior engineer role Profound understanding of IP protocols (IPv4/IPv6), BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, ZTNA, and SASE In-depth knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls and encryption Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers while fostering collaboration
