About this role

Senior Data Engineer Link Group Daily tasks: - Architect Data Pipelines: Design, deploy, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using a modern data stack centered around Snowflake, Coalesce.io, and Airbyte, while managing legacy workflows via SQL Server/SSIS and Azure Data Factory. - Own the Medallion Framework: Drive the implementation and maintenance of our multi-layered data lakehouse (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) within Snowflake.

- Advance Data Modeling: Champion best practices in dimensional data modeling, actively identifying and rectifying gaps in existing models to ensure high-performance reporting. - Collaborate & Deliver: Partner with engineering and product teams using Jira for task alignment and GitHub for robust version control and CI/CD workflows. - Ensure Data Integrity: Monitor and continuously improve data transformation workflows, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and data quality for downstream analytics.

Musts: Data, Data pipelines, Snowflake, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Medallion architecture principles, Kimball, Problem-Solving, Git, GitHub, Jira Hands-on Expertise: Proven experience building data pipelines with Snowflake, Coalesce.io, and Airbyte . Strong foundational knowledge of SQL Server/SSIS and Azure Data Factory is highly valued. Architectural Knowledge: Clear, practical understanding of Medallion architecture principles and Kimball/dimensional modeling concepts.

Problem-Solving Mindset: A strong analytical approach to data integration, with the ability to troubleshoot complex transformation workflows. Agile Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment utilizing Git/GitHub and Jira. Time Zone Alignment: Flexibility to ensure a minimum of 4 hours overlap with the US Eastern Time zone daily. Nice to Have (Bonus Points) Analytics Exposure: Experience with Power BI for dashboarding and data visualization.

CRM Integrations: Familiarity with migrating and transforming Salesforce data. Domain Knowledge: Prior experience working within the Higher Education or Ed-Tech sectors.
