Senior PHP Application Engineer Fox HR Consulting Kft. Daily tasks: - Develop and maintain PHP/Symfony applications and backend services - Refactor and modernize existing and legacy codebases - Investigate and resolve production and performance issues - Develop REST APIs and system integrations - Build message-driven solutions using RabbitMQ / AMQP - Identify technical debt and modernization opportunities - Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Architecture, and DevOps teams - Participate in code reviews and help shape engineering best practices Musts: PHP, Sympfony 5+ years of professional PHP development experience 3+ years of hands-on Symfony experience Experience working with complex, production-grade applications Confidence working with existing and legacy codebases A problem-solving mindset and a focus on maintainable, reliable solutions Confident English communication skills in an international environment We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Application Engineer to join the growing engineering team of one of our international technology partners in Budapest.

Our partner is a global company with US roots, operating in the supply chain industry. They develop their own business-critical digital platforms and are currently building a new Global Engineering Organization, with Budapest playing an important role in this expansion. What is the role about? As a Senior PHP Application Engineer, you will work on the development, stabilization, and modernization of business-critical PHP/Symfony applications and integrations.

We are looking for someone who enjoys diving into complex systems, is comfortable working with existing and legacy codebases, can solve production issues, and wants to actively contribute to the long-term modernization of the technology landscape.
