About this role

Senior Statutory Accountant Hays Hungary Daily tasks: - Prepare statutory financial statements for multiple entities, including GAAP-to-STAT reconciliations and post-close trial balance reviews. - Identify and post local GAAP adjustments, reclassifications, and corrections. - Support statutory filings, legal documentation, and provide financial data to enable tax calculations and filings. - Act as the main contact for external auditors and manage the end-to-end audit process.

- Coordinate audit planning, timelines, and information requests to ensure efficiency. - Standardize and document statutory processes (templates, working papers). - Identify and implement process improvements and best practices. Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or controllership within a multinational environment. (We are open for junior candidates aswell.) Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US‑GAAP . Experience with ERP systems and financial software. ACCA (or equivalent) qualification is an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with internal controls and compliance. In this Statutory Accountant role, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of statutory financial reporting and audit support within the EMEA region. This position plays a key role in executing the end-to-end statutory reporting process from group close through preparation of statutory financial statements, while collaborating closely with controllers, tax teams, and external auditors.
