Software Security Backend Engineer Mindbox Sp. z o.o. Daily tasks: - Designing and implementing scalable, secure backend services using Python (Django) and Node.js (TypeScript/NestJS), with high-performance components written in Go - Architecting for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), optimising PostgreSQL query performance for high-concurrency workloads, and building event-driven architecture with Pub/Sub - Owning the full lifecycle of your services on GCP, ensuring they are resilient, observable, and cost-efficient - Designing and managing OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows within GCP; treating security as a feature with Zero Trust models embedded from the start - Implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and always considering automation as a default approach – reducing toil and enabling faster, more secure delivery - Mentoring team members, building engineering communities that raise the bar on quality and efficiency, and constructively challenging existing thinking to develop better paths forward - Staying ahead of industry shifts (Go, Rust, TypeScript) and guiding the engineering community on evolving trends Musts: Python, Django, Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, GCP, Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, Go, PostgreSQL, PUB Deep expertise in Python (Django) and/or Node.js (TypeScript/NestJS), with a proven track record of shipping production-grade services Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Ability to design and implement scalable, secure backend services with high-performance components in Go Experience architecting with GKE, optimising PostgreSQL for high-concurrency, and building event-driven systems (Pub/Sub) Knowledge of OAuth2/OpenID Connect; security-first mindset with practical experience of Zero Trust models T-shaped engineering profile: broad full-stack understanding with deep backend expertise Passion for automation, engineering excellence, and continuous learning; actively delivers code to production Nice to have: Ability to spot a problem or opportunity and independently engineer a solution end-to-end Thinks holistically about the impact of their work beyond immediate delivery Open-source contributions, GitHub portfolio, or technology blog Generalist mindset – comfortable applying engineering thinking across multiple domains, not just one specialisation Joining this project you’ll become part of Mindbox – a tech-driven company where consulting, engineering, and talent meet to build meaningful digital solutions.
