About this role

As a Vehicle Test Operator, you will be operating our vehicles as a safety driver and teleoperator. You will be part of a team that tests state-of-the-art vehicle technology and collects data for development and analysis purposes. You will be responsible for the safe operation of test vehicles on public roads and test tracks. In addition, you will support data collection and transmission to technical teams by monitoring, controlling, and communicating via teleoperation systems.

What is your Day to Day Mission: Safe operation of commercial ​and defense vehicles during testing and in real-world conditions, in compliance with traffic and safety regulations as well as operational standards. Monitoring and intervention in automated driving systems (safety driver role). Remote control (teleoperation) of vehicles in defined test or emergency scenarios. Data acquisition, verification and transmission of vehicle, sensor and environmental data in accordance with defined protocols.

Documentation of test drives, events and anomalies during driving operations within digital systems (computer interfaces). Communication with the engineering team to improve system performance and data accuracy. Monitoring of vehicle condition ​​with mobile apps (checklists, maintenance notifications, safety checks). Supporting technical integration tests of vehicle sensor systems, software or communication systems. Transport and delivery of prototype vehicles in Germany and Europe.
