About this role

In addition to the basic education requirement: FOR THE NT-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or overseeing contracts for the acquisition or procurement of equipment, supplies, or services.

Examples of specialized experience may include: evaluating a contractor's capabilities; recommending an acquisition strategy; conducting contract negotiations; analyzing contract charges or costs to determine appropriateness or reasonableness; facilitating contract changes through the lifecycle of an acquisition. FOR THE NT-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-05/08 equivalent) as a Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist assisting higher graded specialists with soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, or overseeing contracts for the acquisition or procurement of equipment, supplies, or services.

Examples of specialized experience may include: drafting contract documents; observing or assisting with contract negotiations; reviewing contract charges or costs; implementing contract document changes through the lifecycle of an acquisition.
