ARCTIC OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
About this role
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience providing highly reliable source of information on all aspects of submarine operations. *Experience serving as principle advisor to the ship's Commanding Officer for all matters related to but not limited to under-ice navigation, ship handling, operational safety, environmental monitoring and data collection, and actual performance of the scheduled scientific/technical tests and experiments.
*Experience in all areas of submarine ship handling, ship control systems, sonar, navigation, piloting, mooring, combat systems, communications and ship's characteristics. *Experience managing and providing technical direction and advice to a wide variety of technically different projects. *Experience in submarine test and evaluation of systems designed for fleet application. *Experience working with submarine systems, technology, underwater acoustic and employment of sensors.
*Experience understanding submarine operating procedures and environmental properties. Experience performing supervisory duties.
