General Role Description Supervise assembly operations to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality and safety standards Role Accountabilities - Implement, manage, and monitor assembly processes to maintain efficient and reliable production operations - Plan work schedules and manage employee hours, reallocating staff as needed to sustain production line continuity - Identify factors that may impact on-time productivity and notify the manager promptly to mitigate delays - Interview and evaluate candidates to select qualified personnel for assembly positions - Assess skill levels and coordinate training to maintain a capable and effective assembly team - Verify tools and equipment calibration requirements are met according to established schedules - Investigate part discrepancies and coordinate resolution to prevent production interruptions - Provide temporary coverage for absent team members to maintain production continuity - Investigate and address quality non-conformances, notifying quality control and/or quality assurance - Issue work orders, schematics, specifications, and instructions to team leads - Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve, escalating to manager as necessary - Identify and report production constraints related to equipment, staffing, or capacity to the manager - Conduct random inspections of assembly lines to verify adherence to established processes and procedures - Monitor work areas for unsafe practices, equipment issues, and PPE compliance and address concerns promptly - Verify daily completion of 6S standards to maintain organized and efficient work areas General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Manager Accountabilities - Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees - Plan for, appropriately assign, resource, and integrate the work of the team - Lead, expect, and implement continuous improvement - Own the output of the team - Ensure team members fulfill functional and general employee accountabilities - Exercise effective managerial leadership to include - Two-way managerial team working - Fair and just treatment of direct reports - Context setting - Planning - Task assignment - Ongoing performance management - Coaching - Selection and orientation - De-selection and dismissal Manager-Once-Removed Accountabilities - Ensure effective leadership and fair and just treatment for their direct reports once removed - Ensure talent pool development at the direct report once removed level Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent - 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role - Demonstrated working knowledge of manufacturing operations and production processes - Proficiency using hand tools and power tools - Demonstrated success leading teams to accomplish business goals - Strong problem-solving skills - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Proficiency working with an ERP system - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications - Associate’s degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field - 4 years' experience in a supervisory or lead role - 2 years' power electronics manufacturing experience - Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices - Proficiency working with an ERP system - Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks and inspections in a production environment - Demonstrated experience working in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese - Proficiency working with Oracle Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website : https://www.tmeic.com/ .
