About this role
To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the following leadership and technical experiences. These qualifications would typically be gained through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must submit a resume that addresses each minimum qualification experience. Examples should be clear, and concise, and emphasize your level of responsibilities; the scope and complexity of the programs, activities, or services you managed; program accomplishments; policy initiatives undertaken; level of contacts; the sensitivity and criticality of the issues you addressed; and the results of your actions.
You should use action-oriented leadership words to describe your experience and accomplishments and quantify your experience wherever possible to demonstrate your accomplishments (e.g., the number of employees supervised). Leadership Experience 1: Experience in coordinating the work of team members in a work unit, including assigning and evaluating work; setting priorities, timelines, and expectations; and monitoring progress against goals; AND Leadership Experience 2: Experience in setting performance expectations; assessing employee performance; providing recognition and rewards; providing feedback, mentoring, or coaching; and addressing performance or conduct issues; AND Technical Experience 1: Experience in collaborating with other stakeholders in implementing strategic technology plans and monitoring budgets/resources to meet corporate/divisional objectives; AND Technical Experience 2: Experience in the successful oversight of teams working on concurrent technology projects during the development and delivery of systems, applications, and tools; AND Technical Experience 3: Experience in identifying and evaluating complex technology options to support well-informed strategic decisions; AND Technical Experience 4: Experience in communication to audiences of internal and external audiences on technology plans, opportunities, and challenges; AND Technical Experience 5: Experience in providing guidance and direction on data management to ensure users have comprehensive information available to effectively conduct business activities.
Selective Placement Factor: Candidates must be a Commissioned Risk Management or Compliance Examiner in the FDIC or another organization with comparable commissioning criteria used by the FDIC.
