About this role

Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree (or equivalent), be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1-year post-J.D. (or equivalent) legal or other relevant experience, preferably 3-years legal or other relevant experience. You must be a United States Citizen or National. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum GPA of 3.0, appellate litigation experience and/or substantive expertise in criminal law.

Judicial clerkships, law review, moot court, clinical experience, and experience working cooperatively with a range of people are also preferred. Applicants must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
