About this role
Applicant must possess a J.D. or LL.B. degree and be an active member of the bar in good standing (any jurisdiction). In addition, applicant must have four years of post J.D./LL.B. experience, four years of which were in or related to Federal laws, rules and regulations related to labor-management relations, torts, criminal law, FOIA, Privacy Act, EEO, Federal employment law, human resources management, Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), Bivens, appropriations law, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Administrative Procedures Act.
You must submit a legible copy of your transcripts. Moreover, incumbent must have prior litigation experience and must have experience practicing before a minimum of one of the following forums: the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; the Merit Systems Protection Board; the Federal Labor Relations Authority; arbitrators; or before a federal or state court. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
