Conditions of Employment continues: Must have a law degree (JD or LLB) from an ABA accredited law school and be a member m good standing of the bar of the highest court of a state or the District of Columbia. Five years of relevant experience and/or a Master of Laws (LLM) in Government Contracts is desirable. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing as a condition of employment in accordance with AFM 44-198, Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: You MUST have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LLB or JD). In addition, at the time of application, you must provide proof, dated within four months of application, of "active" status with a bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the basic requirement, applicants must have at least (3) years of professional legal experience that commensurate with the position's duties and responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of federal acquisition and fiscal law (including but not limited to Major Services Acquisition, Systems Acquisition, Research & Development, Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS), contracting matters, and the Fiscal, aspects thereof). 2. Knowledge of rules, procedures, policies and programs of the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate to perform the procedural and administrative work of the organization to include knowledge of theories, principles and techniques of legal research.

3. Skill in researching legal issues raised by requests for formal opinions, the analysis of complex factual situations in light of the results of such legal research and general legal principles, and the preparation of written legal opinions and fraud remedies plans based upon such research and analysis. 4. Skill in using negotiation techniques to protect the Government's position m major acquisition actions. 5. Ability to compile and report data, analyze statistical data for trends, and to make adjustments to the programs.

6. Skill and ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
