Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Node.js and Go. Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business requirements, articulate technical strategies, and deliver solutions that drive measurable impact. Optimize and modernize existing backend systems to enhance performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and integrate modern middleware solutions and cloud-native services.

5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience with TypeScript and Node.js (Primary Skill) 2+ years of production-level experience with Go (Secondary Skill) Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to thrive in client-facing consulting environments Availability to work full-time within Mountain Time (MT) business hours An enterprise level client is seeking a versatile Backend Engineer to drive the modernization of our client backend microservices architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
