Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: GS-13: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as three or more of the following: Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on actual financial execution data for assigned budgets and programs; Developing and maintaining automated systems and data bases to track budget information including estimates, allotments, transfers, obligations, expenditures, and current balances; Interpreting and applying complex budgetary policies, regulations, directives, and/or legislative decisions to analyze and evaluate continual changes in program plans and funding; Reviewing and analyzing a broad base of historical data and current trends to validate financial estimates for an integrated budget for a major multi-functional program; and/or Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders to gain cooperation in situations that may involve complex or controversial issues.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
