About this role
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this Budget Analyst position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) in Federal service.
Specialized experience includes utilizing accounting practices and procedures to monitor research project budgets to include staffing and expenditures; communicating budget status via reporting; identifying errors; and supporting human resource functions to recruit and retain personnel. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title; duties; month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENC: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed progressively higher-level graduate education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience as described above, meet the total experience requirements for this grade level.
The education portion must include graduate courses that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this Budget Analyst position. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
