Graduation / expect graduation date MUST be indicated on your resume. Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To be eligible for appointment, you must be a recent graduate who has completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associate's, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree, or certificate from a qualifying, accredited educational institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A valid certificate program is post-secondary education in a qualifying educational institution that is equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study, as defined by your university.

The certificate program must also be a part of an accredited college-level, technical, vocational, trade, or business school curriculum. To qualify at the GS-9 level, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements: A. You have completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related. OR B. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Gathering information and statistical data for use in budget requests and reports; and Performing budget formulation, execution and administration work to monitor obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds; and Researching budgetary data from source documents, automated financial/budgetary systems, financial records; and Reports for use in preparing budget estimates and annual financial plans.

-OR- C. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
