About this role
You may qualify at the NH-04, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Leading budget formulation, execution, and financial management activities for a federal organization. Advising senior leadership on funding, fiscal law, resource allocation, and budgetary matters. Developing budget estimates, financial forecasts, and analytical products to support decision-making.
Interpreting and applying appropriations law, federal budget guidance, and financial management regulations. Supervising personnel, managing workload priorities, and evaluating employee performance. Preparing and delivering executive-level briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior officials. Identifying financial risks and implementing corrective actions to improve organizational performance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
