Chief Wealth Management Officer Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Workplace Type: On-site About the Role ACB is embarking on a transformative journey to establish a next-generation Wealth Management business in Vietnam. This ambitious program aims to deliver holistic financial solutions, personalized advisory services, and digitally enabled customer experiences for affluent, high-net-worth, and emerging wealth clients.
As a leading private bank in Vietnam, ACB is making significant investments in capabilities, technology, talent, partnerships, and operating models to build a market-leading Wealth Management franchise, drawing inspiration from regional best practices. We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to spearhead this initiative and shape the future of Wealth Management at ACB. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the long-term Wealth Management vision, strategy, and business roadmap, positioning ACB as a leading wealth and advisory institution in Vietnam.
Drive sustainable growth across Assets Under Management (AUM), fee income, client acquisition, and customer lifetime value by establishing a scalable and differentiated Wealth Management model. Develop and implement customer segmentation strategies and compelling value propositions tailored to Affluent, Priority, High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI), and Business Owner segments, covering wealth accumulation, growth, preservation, retirement planning, and legacy planning.
Lead the development of a comprehensive suite of wealth solutions, including investments, mutual funds, bonds, structured products, insurance, cash management, and global wealth opportunities, fostering an advisory-led approach. Build strategic relationships with asset managers, insurers, securities firms, fintech companies, and global financial institutions to develop an open architecture model and partnership-led solutions.
Provide leadership and governance for key strategic initiatives across Wealth Platforms & Technology, Data & Analytics, Risk Management, Customer Experience, Product & Advisory, and Operating Model Design. Design and implement a modern Wealth Advisory model with differentiated capabilities in Financial Planning, Investment Advisory, Portfolio Advisory, and Wealth Relationship Management. Drive the deployment of digital wealth platforms and AI-enabled advisory capabilities, leveraging data and analytics for personalized recommendations and digital engagement.
Design the target operating model and organizational structure for ACB Wealth Management, developing talent, capability-building, and succession strategies to foster a performance-driven culture. Required Skills & Qualifications 15+ years of experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management, Investment Advisory, Affluent Banking, or related financial services sectors. Proven leadership experience at Managing Director, Division Head, Business Head, or equivalent executive level.
Strong track record of building, scaling, or transforming Wealth Management businesses. Experience leading large-scale business transformation and cross-functional programs. Strategic vision and commercial acumen, with strong transformation and change leadership capabilities. Ability to operate effectively at Board and Executive Committee level, with outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills. Deep understanding of client-centric wealth models and the ability to bridge business, technology, data, risk, and operations.
Passion for building high-performance teams and future capabilities. Regional exposure within Asia-Pacific markets is highly desirable. Experience with organizations such as DBS, UOB, OCBC, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Citi, UBS, Julius Baer, Bank of Singapore, or comparable institutions would be advantageous. Success will be measured by key outcomes including Assets Under Management (AUM), Net New Money, Fee-Based Revenue Growth, Wealth Client Acquisition and Retention, Advisor Productivity, Customer Satisfaction and Engagement, Digital Wealth Adoption, and Strategic Initiative Delivery.
