About this role

Required Education & Experience: Graduation from an accredited university with a Law degree and a minimum of ten years of extensive senior executive leadership experience, preferably within courts, government, or public sector institutions. Additionally, demonstrated experience leading organizational transformation and operational improvement initiatives. Must be an active member of the Bar in good standing of any state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or any Territorial Court under the U.S.

Constitution. Additionally, must obtain a DC Bar membership within six months of appointment and must maintain the status throughout the duration of employment. To qualify you must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level leadership and management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under Court Executive Service Core Qualifications (CESCQ) listed in How to Apply, and the duties associated with this position.

Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS/JS-15 grade level in the federal/DC Court service or its equivalent in the public/private sector. Candidates must possess senior level construction management and technical experience. Candidates experience must have been at a high level of difficulty to show clearly that the candidate possesses the professional and technical, as well as program knowledge, skills, and abilities outlines under the five CESCQ.

Failure to meet the basic qualifications and address the CESCQ factors automatically disqualifies an applicant. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts' values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
