COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE
About this role
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Provides strategic direction and executive leadership to a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of military and civilian experts, driving operational synergy to achieve critical mission-essential tasks and command objectives; Orchestrates strategic communications and executive-level briefings (written and oral) for Flag/General Officers, Senior Executive Service (SES) members, and interagency partners to synchronize situational awareness on time-sensitive, critical national security information; Leverages comprehensive, theatre-level expertise within the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRN-D) and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) enterprises to integrate specialized defensive capabilities directly into Special Operations Command (SOCOM) operational designs; Directs joint special operations planning, deliberate campaign planning, and crisis action procedures (CAP) at the Combatant Command (COCOM) level, coordinating seamlessly across the Joint Staff to execute high-visibility, multi-domain operations; Leading advanced threat analysis, developing theater-level plans and policies, and spearheading risk-mitigation frameworks to counter active WMD and CBRN threats to forward-deployed forces.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
