Join us, and help make it the most widely used platform in the world! From operations, to marketing, to product, we are looking for talented people who will shape how millions of customers play, watch, and connect every day.

As Commercial Research and insight Manager , you will own the intelligence layer that sits above market data, turning it into a continuous, opinionated commercial view that the CEO, CPO, CMO, and Board can act on. Sitting within the Research function and reporting to the Research Director, you will spend a significant share of your time outside it — in commercial reviews, board-prep sessions, and the rooms where strategic capital is allocated.

Your mandate spans two areas: commercial strategy and competitive intelligence, and international expansion research across Super's 12+ country footprint, with the goal of shaping decisions rather than simply producing reports. What the role involves Commercial Strategy & Competitive Intelligence Own competitive intelligence at the strategic level, operating an AI-augmented monitoring system across major competitors and regional challengers to track product roadmaps, M&A activity, executive moves, regulatory positioning, and pricing strategy Maintain opinionated, continuously refreshed competitor strategic profiles that translate "what they did" into "what it means and what we should do" Produce a monthly Competitive Strategy Briefing for the CEO and executive team, closing with clear recommended responses Deliver a synthesised view and recommended position to the executive team within 48 hours of any material competitor move Partner with Strategic Finance and Commercial Strategy on enterprise-level questions, bringing consumer and competitive grounding to their financial models International Expansion & Market Sizing Own market-sizing capability end-to-end, building TAM/SAM/SOM models for every market Super operates in or is evaluating, along with the underlying methodology and data sources Build market-sizing infrastructure as code — versioned, parameterised models with documented assumptions and sensitivity analysis Lead the analytical work behind market-entry, -deepening, and -exit decisions, producing an integrated recommendation covering market structure, demand, regulation, competitive intensity, and segment economics Maintain a live view of regulatory and commercial dynamics across all 12+ markets and the priority shortlist of next markets, informing capital allocation decisions External Regulatory & Policy Intelligence Build and operate an always-on view of legislative consultations, regulator publications, industry-body positions, and political signal across every market Translate regulatory developments into commercial implication, quantifying revenue exposure and scenario impact for leadership Team Leadership & Talent Development Directly manage and grow a lean commercial research team, starting with the existing Market Research lead, and own their development towards a manager-level role Set the craft bar across the team by reviewing models, competitive profiles, and expansion cases, and providing specific, developmental feedback Own hiring, performance management, and team structure as the function scales from a small pod into a fuller commercial research team AI Research Infrastructure Own the function's AI research tool stack, evaluating tools, building integrations, and setting standards for responsible AI use Build automation — monitoring pipelines, synthesis templates, model scaffolding — that sustains high throughput while reducing manual effort Run AI-driven scenario simulations to stress-test major recommendations against plausible regulatory and competitor futures before they are greenlit Act as the internal expert on AI-augmented commercial research, advising leadership, upskilling teams, and setting guardrails for critical AI use What we are looking for 8+ years' experience across strategy, competitive intelligence, market intelligence, corporate development, or commercial/strategic research, including at least 3 years where the deliverable was a decision rather than a deck Experience developing or managing people, ideally having supported someone's progression from senior individual contributor towards a first management role Demonstrated experience operating AI-augmented strategy workflows in production (e.g.

LLM-driven competitor synthesis, automated market monitoring, AI-assisted financial modelling), with the ability to speak in detail about what was built and what did and didn't work Strong quantitative and market-sizing skills, including TAM/SAM/SOM, demand-pool modelling, segment economics, and sensitivity analysis, with the ability to build and defend a market model from scratch in Python or Excel Hands-on competitive intelligence experience — monitoring, synthesising, and interpreting competitor strategy for board and executive audiences Direct experience presenting strategic recommendations to executive or board-level audiences that materially shaped a decision Strong financial and commercial literacy, connecting market and competitive analysis to revenue, margin, and capital-allocation outcomes Ability to translate analysis into clear, defensible strategic recommendations rather than descriptive findings Sound judgement in applying AI to strategic analysis, including awareness of common failure modes (e.g.

confirmation bias, hallucinated data, over-confident inferences) and building validation steps into workflows Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build support for recommendations across functions and levels of seniority <p class="font
