About this role

To qualify for Community Outreach and Planning Specialist, you must meet all the specialized experience described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal Service.

Qualifying specialized experiences for the GS-12 are below. Applicant must have 2 out of the 4 below specialized experience statements: Conducting outreach activities to communicate information with stakeholders (i.e., federal/state/local agencies, non-profit organizations, public/private schools/colleges/ universities, child care facilities, etc.) regarding wage and hour laws and enforcement and education programs; Gathering, compiling, and analyzing information using a variety of research tools and methods such as, outreach studies and initiatives, and incorporating the results into recommendations for improvement.

Planning and implementing activities such as stakeholder engagement, education and outreach, and media communications, to increase awareness of organizational initiatives; Serving as a representative or spokesperson at public meetings or workshops to increase awareness of organizational initiatives.
