CONTRACT SPECIALIST

About this role

For the GS-09: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional contract specialist performing contracting work by evaluating contract criteria for supplies and services. Examples of qualifying experience include: performing pre-award and post-award contracting functions and preparing solicitation packages with applicable FAR/DFARS clauses; conducting market research and evaluating contractor proposals; and participating in price negotiations, and administering contract modifications.

Examples of qualifying experience include: performing segments of pre-award and post-award contracting functions and preparing solicitation packages with applicable FAR/DFARS clauses; conducting market research and evaluating contractor proposals; and participating in price negotiations, and administering contract modifications.
