In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. OR Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Leading complex data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing, and statistical modeling initiatives; designing, automating, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines; and ensuring data analytics infrastructures comply with cybersecurity and information security standards.
