HOW TO QUALIFY: Eligible applicants must meet the following qualification requirements. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include three out of the four following elements: Experience in machine learning and predictive modeling, including developing, evaluating, and applying analytically models to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
Skill in data analytics and statistical analysis, using quantitive methods to uncover insights, measure performance, and solve complex business problems. Experience in at least one of the following areas: programming and data analysis, including Python, SAS or SQL, including the ability to manipulate data and develop data pipelines to prepare and transform data for analysis. Experience in data visualization and business intelligence, creating dashboards and analytical reports using tools such as QuickSight.
Additionally, applicants must meet the following Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR): A degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position.Note: The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. OR A combination of education and experience. Note: Courses must be equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in option 1 above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
