About this role

To support data platform initiatives, the full-time contract Database Engineer will architect and scale data platforms, build robust data pipelines, and develop production-grade data services while working remotely. Key responsibilities Architect and evolve enterprise data platforms, pipelines, and storage systems to support scalable analytics Develop reusable ETL/ELT frameworks and connectors for processing structured and unstructured data using distributed systems Implement reliable backend systems and RESTful APIs in Python, ensuring best practices in code quality and performance optimization Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience 5+ years of strong programming experience in Python, with the ability to build production-grade data pipelines 4+ years of hands-on experience in Spark/PySpark, building and optimizing Spark pipelines 2+ years of experience building backend systems and implementing RESTful APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask Exposure to data orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow or Dagster
