RUM Group Inc. is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to provide broad legal leadership across litigation, regulatory matters, compliance, employment issues, policy development, and day-to-day business counseling. This is a senior legal leadership role for an attorney who can serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders while helping oversee the legal function across a company anchored in cloud and data center infrastructure through its Quake AI business, alongside its Rumble video platform.

The Deputy General Counsel will work closely with the General Counsel and serve as a key legal leader capable of stepping in on behalf of the General Counsel when needed. This role requires a practical, business-minded legal leader who can assess risk clearly, guide complex matters efficiently, and support a fast-moving organization with a broad range of legal and regulatory needs. You should be comfortable advising teams across Product, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Technology, while helping the business navigate litigation, investigations, compliance, and policy issues that come with operating scaled cloud, AI, and data center infrastructure as well as a large-scale video platform.

Success in this role requires sound legal judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience from a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both, with a strong background in litigation, compliance, and strategic counseling. This person will help strengthen the legal function as RUM Group continues to grow in cloud and AI infrastructure and video, supporting legal operations, outside counsel management, risk mitigation, and scalable processes across evolving business priorities.

The right candidate will be comfortable operating as both a senior legal advisor and a hands-on leader who can move fluidly between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution. Responsibilities Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the General Counsel, executive leadership, and business stakeholders on a broad range of legal, regulatory, litigation, employment, compliance, and commercial matters. Lead and manage litigation, claims, disputes, and pre-litigation matters, including legal strategy, outside counsel oversight, discovery coordination, motion practice support, and settlement recommendations.

Conduct and oversee internal investigations and responses to subpoenas, audits, regulatory inquiries, and government requests. Design, implement, and monitor legal and compliance policies, controls, and training programs across relevant areas of the business. Provide practical day-to-day legal advice to teams across Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement, Product, Information Technology, Operations, and other business functions as needed.

Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend policy, process, and operational changes to reduce risk and support compliant growth. Help lead legal department operations, including outside counsel management, budgeting, prioritization, and process improvements that support a scalable and effective legal function across RUM Group’s business lines, including Quake AI and the Rumble video platform. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S.

state bar. 15+ years of legal experience, including meaningful experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both, with a strong background in litigation, compliance, and legal counseling. Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial disputes, claims, investigations, and litigation strategy. Working knowledge of corporate governance, legal compliance frameworks, internal controls, and enterprise risk management practices applicable to a growing corporate legal department.

Strong business judgment and the ability to deliver clear, practical legal advice in a fast-paced and evolving business environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across functions and seniority levels. Experience overseeing internal investigations, regulatory responses, or government inquiries. Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage sensitive matters with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications Experience managing legal staff, paralegals, contract professionals, or outside counsel relationships. Experience helping lead or scale legal department operations, including budgeting, workflow improvements, and outside counsel management. Employment law experience or familiarity advising on workplace-related legal matters. Experience supporting executive leadership on high-risk, high-visibility, or enterprise-wide legal issues.

Experience advising businesses in cloud computing, data center infrastructure, AI/HPC, or video platforms and advertising, or similarly regulated and fast-evolving industries.
