We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets. We are seeking a passionate Director to join our growing team, where you will play a crucial role in taking our Group Accounting & Reporting team to the next level.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results You will be joining the Group Accounting & Reporting team, consisting of six colleagues, and will report directly to Hasse Hedberg, VP of Group Accounting & Reporting. In this role, you will lead and develop the team while driving the Group's accounting and external reporting activities.

You will be based in Hellerup. Your key responsibilities will be: Heading the technical accounting and reporting area to support our Vision 2030 Timely and compliant filing of external financial reporting under IFRS (quarterly and annual report) Ensure external reporting compliance in line with IFRS and SEC rules, using our advanced software setup for, consolidation, SEC reporting, and more Developing and maintaining accounting policies under IFRS and differences from US GAAP Ensure compliant accounting treatment of complex accounting and reporting matters, including leases, material contracts, share-based payment arrangements, partnerships, and more Developing and establishing IFRS reporting procedures across the group Driving business partnering with the rest of Global Finance on technical accounting matters Contributing to the thoughtful use of AI and automation in Group Accounting & Reporting to improve efficiency, quality, controls, and insight generation Qualifications and Skills: You hold a relevant academic degree, preferably cand.merc.aud., and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.

Furthermore, you have : A forward-looking and mindful approach Efficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to find practical answers to complex issues Experience working with IFRS accounting standards and preparing accounting memos and annual reports Experience with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements is an advantage Experience working within a global group with several foreign entities and accounting frameworks.

The ability to navigate cross-functional tasks and projects within Finance and collaborate with other departments Strong writing and communication skills Interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to improve accounting, reporting, documentation, and ways of working Key competencies: You are a strong team player with a can-do attitude and are highly motivated to contribute to Ascendis’ continued development and create success with your team.
