About this role

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a high school diploma or GED, plus applicable training, and no experience; or high school diploma or GED, plus 1 year of relevant experience. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED, plus applicable training, plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or applicable training plus 2 years of relevant experience.

SENIOR Entry is with a high school diploma or GED, plus applicable training, plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or applicable training plus 4 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience must include one or more of the following: development, fabrication, manufacturing, testing, or site installation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or software products/systems; assembling, modifying, debugging, or testing prototype products; working as an electrician; repairing electronics or appliances; installing or maintaining computer systems, working in a machine, wood, or electronic shop; working in microelectronics, semiconductors, robotics, soldering, welding, schematic diagrams, environmental testing, computer aided design (CAD), networking; or quality assurance testing; or setting up, operating, and adjusting microelectronic production equipment.

Completion of an Apprenticeship Program in a relevant field (metalwork, welding, plating, painting, or additive manufacturing) counts for 3 years of experience; a Journeyman License in a relevant field (metalwork, welding, plating, painting, or additive manufacturing) counts for 6 years of relevant experience; a Master Tradesman License in a relevant field (metalwork, welding, plating, painting, or additive manufacturing) counts for 9 years of relevant experience.

Commercial industry certifications in automotive repair, graphic design, metalworking, welding, plating, electronics manufacturing, or additive manufacturing count for 1 to 2 years of experience depending on certification.
