About this role
ASSESSMENT FACTORS 1. Uses initiative in researching trends and developing new methods before applying laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and develops guidance on appropriate course of action. 2. Provides expert advice to management on resolution and adjudication of equal employment complaints and provides updates on significant developments as they arise. 3. Oversees and interprets the intent of policies and procedures for the Agency’s EEO/EO programs.
Defines problem areas; originates solutions to complex or unusual issues; and assists team members. 4. Demonstrates expert-level knowledge and direct oversight experience across multiple EEO functional areas, including but not limited to complaints processing, investigations, compliance, and reasonable accommodations management, with a proven track record of leading complex EEO programs to ensure organizational adherence to laws such as Title VII, ADA, and applicable Executive Orders.
5. Recommends decisions on complaints. HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS 1. Extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge and application of federal EEO statutes, case law, and EEOC guidance, to include full lifecycle of EEO complaint management and Reasonable Accommodations, along with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. 2. Experience developing and delivering training on complex EO statutory interpretation, case analysis methodologies, and emerging trends to build organizational EO expertise.
3. Experience leading complex workplace investigations and strategically applying alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques to resolve issues and mitigate organizational risk. 4. Possesses or has previously held valid EEO certifications (i.e., EEO Counselor, EEO Investigator)
