About this role

To qualify for the Equal Employment Specialist, PG-0260-12, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that includes: 1) Providing guidance to supervisors, managers, and employees regarding Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, procedures, and responsibilities; AND 2) Communicating with various customers to gather necessary information ensuring the processing requests of reasonable accommodation and accessibility; AND 3) Supporting agency awareness of EEO program requirements and/or procedures through advisory services including informational programs, educational seminars, training sessions or individual consultations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (08/24/2026) to be considered.
