About this role

Leading the development of innovative assessment designs for new career-focused AP courses, the full-time remote Executive Director of Assessments will manage the creation of test blueprints, pilot exams, and ongoing assessment item development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and buy-in for new approaches. Key Responsibilities Partner with Learning and Assessment leaders to design and refine assessment formats and item types for new AP courses Oversee the development of test blueprints and manage the annual cycle of assessment item and version development Build and lead a team of assessment design staff, ensuring effective training and calibration of subject matter experts Required Qualifications 1-15+ years of experience in assessment design, test development, or curriculum leadership roles Demonstrated track record of innovation in assessment design, particularly in skills-based or project-based models Working fluency in assessment data and psychometric outputs Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder timelines and driving change across diverse perspectives Proven experience in building and leading teams within a matrixed organization
