About this role

As a Finance Manager , you will be a key part of our Finance Team , supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.

As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027 . As part of the global Finance organization, your mission will be to ensure financial transparency, reliable reporting, robust financial controls, and effective business partnering to support the rapid growth of our Romanian operations. What is your Day to Day Mission: Lead and develop the local Finance & Controlling function for the Romanian entity. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

Prepare management reports, financial analyses, forecasts, and business performance reviews. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management. Establish and maintain strong financial controls, governance processes, and compliance standards. Oversee statutory accounting, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Drive cost controlling activities across manufacturing, operations, and support functions. Analyze production, inventory, procurement, and operational costs to improve profitability and transparency. Support investment planning, business case development, and strategic decision-making. Coordinate internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities. Ensure accurate financial treatment of inventory, fixed assets, manufacturing costs, and capital expenditures.

Collaborate closely with Global Finance teams to align processes, reporting standards, and financial systems. Support ERP implementation, financial process optimization, and automation initiatives. Build a strong financial culture by acting as a trusted business partner to local leadership teams.
