FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

About this role

To qualify for a GS-9, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing budget analysis, tracking financial plans, and executing fund controls under general supervision. Experience utilizing integrated financial software (e.g., Navy ERP or equivalent accounting system software packages) to extract, analyze, and process financial data.

Experience applying Federal Appropriations Law, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and DoD financial regulations. Experience auditing and validating transactions, identifying financial anomalies, and tracking "cradle-to-grave" funding to resolve execution bottlenecks. To qualify for a GS-7, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience collecting and analyzing basic financial, accounting, or budget data. Experience monitoring and tracing fund execution, identifying discrepancies, or reviewing financial reports. Experience processing invoices, reviewing transactions, or applying financial principles and procedural concepts. Experience communicating basic financial data and policies to team members.
