Financial Management Specialist
About this role
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
Experience providing technical advice and resolving issues related to regulatory requirements and statutory policies, including conducting in-depth research, interpreting complex guidelines and regulations, and proposing alternative solutions. Experience evaluating complex programs for compliance with applicable policies and regulations, including analyzing new policies, assessing their impact on existing procedures and objectives, and recommending necessary adjustments.
Experience performing advanced analyses and interpretations of financial statements and reports to resolve unprecedented or complex problems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Experience planning and conducting studies of financial management processes (such as budgetary, financial, procurement, and property management), developing recommendations for process improvements, documenting findings, and evaluating internal controls for effectiveness and data integrity.
