About this role
What you'll do Architect and build the app from the ground up on iOS and Android using Flutter and Dart. Own it end-to-end — architecture, code, releases, performance, and quality. Design for scale with a clean, modular, layered architecture. Optimize for performance, startup time, app size, and memory. Integrate REST APIs, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting. Build automated tests — unit, widget, and integration — as part of how you ship.
Instrument for observability (crash-free rate, ANR, performance) and act on it. Own releases: CI/CD, signing, staged rollouts, feature flags, and monitoring. Partner with backend on API contracts, and with design on polish. Apply fintech-grade security — secure storage, cert pinning, safe token handling. What we're looking for 2+ years building production mobile apps, strong in Flutter and Dart. At least one app live on the Play Store and/or App Store.
Solid CS fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, design patterns. Degree in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Deep grasp of Flutter internals (widget tree, rendering, profiling with DevTools). Strong Dart — async/await, Futures, Streams, isolates, null safety. Hands-on with structured state management (Bloc, Riverpod, or Provider). Comfortable with clean/layered architecture and dependency injection.
Experience with REST networking (Dio, Retrofit), auth, caching, error handling. Familiar with native iOS/Android builds, signing, and platform channels. Strong testing instincts and clean, disciplined Git workflow. Nice to have Fintech, payments, banking, or wallet experience (PPI, cards, UPI). Mobile CI/CD (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Codemagic, Bitrise). Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config, Push). Offline-first design and local storage (Hive, Drift, SQLite).
Biometric auth, A/B testing, feature-flagged rollouts. A feel for motion and craft (Rive, Lottie, custom painters). Accessibility and internationalization by default. Early/founding mobile engineer at a startup.
