Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have at least two years experience that demonstrates knowledge of managing a high traffic food service operation. Applicant must have specific experience in concession operations in all of the following areas: Catering, food ordering, procurement, delivery, presentation, customer service, inventory control, budgeting, cash handling and supervision. Applicant must be able to demonstrate verbal, interpersonal, customer service and public relations skills.
Applicant must have the ability to schedule, train and motivate staff and have the ability to work effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work/tasks. Must have knowledge in food preparation principles, characteristics of food and of planning processes to ensure entire meals are prepared. Must be able to perform Yield Testing to determine portion cost and to adjust ingredients in standardized recipes. One-year experience in all qualifications listed above will be accepted with a degree in Food and Beverage Management.
Applicant must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds, and stand and walk for long periods of time. A National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) is required. Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical is required. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.
