Founders' Associate / Chief of Staff
About this role
ABOUT THE ROLE A fast-growing, pre-seed AI energy management startup is looking for a Founders' Associate / Chief of Staff to work directly with the founding team. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of enterprise sales, strategy, and operations — helping build the go-to-market engine from the ground up for energy-intensive industrial customers across the DACH region. You'll own meaningful projects end-to-end, drive outbound pipeline, and act as a trusted extension of the founders across both commercial and strategic initiatives.
The role suits someone with strong startup grit who thrives in ambiguity and is eager to learn the energy market deeply. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and maintain a strong enterprise sales pipeline across DACH in close partnership with the founders. - Execute outbound campaigns — cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach — with tailored, high-quality messaging. - Refine ICP, targeting strategy, and value propositions based on market and prospect feedback.
- Produce compelling sales materials including decks, one-pagers, follow-ups, and business cases. - Join discovery calls to surface customer insights and translate them into sharper positioning and messaging. - Act as an extension of the founders on strategic and operational topics, including investor updates and reporting. - Lead high-priority special projects end-to-end — market research, partnerships, and internal initiatives.
- Support marketing content and event preparation (newsletters, social media, messaging). - Rapidly develop expertise in energy markets and the product; feed insights back into sales and product development. - Operate autonomously, iterate on processes, and continuously improve team efficiency. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves: - 3+ years of experience in enterprise sales, outbound demand generation, or top-of-funnel pipeline building — specifically within the DACH region.
- Demonstrated track record of owning cross-functional initiatives end-to-end in a startup or high-ownership environment. - Experience preparing investor updates and key strategic materials; comfort collaborating with founders on investor relations. - Proven ability to build and manage enterprise sales pipeline and run structured outbound prospecting in DACH. - Skilled at creating and delivering sales enablement materials (decks, one-pagers, business cases) and tailoring messaging using market feedback.
- Proficiency with tools including Notion, Google Workspace, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. - Knowledge of energy markets or a demonstrated ability to learn them rapidly and translate insights into sales and product improvements. - Experience joining discovery calls and extracting insights to refine positioning and value propositions. - Fluent German and strong English communication skills. - Based in Munich and able to work on-site approximately 4 days per week.
Nice-to-haves: - Experience in energy sector partnerships or procurement contexts. - Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies. - Background at industrial or energy-adjacent companies (e.g. Siemens, Bosch, Viessmann, Schaeffler) or top-tier consulting firms. LOCATION This role is based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany and is primarily on-site (~4 days/week). Candidates must be based in Munich or willing to relocate.
Visa sponsorship is not available. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: €60,000 – €90,000 per year, depending on experience. - Early-stage equity opportunity at a well-backed pre-seed startup. - Direct exposure to the founding team and high-impact strategic work from day one. - Steep learning curve in a fast-growing sector at the intersection of AI and industrial energy management.
