ABOUT THE ROLE This is a founding engineering role at an early-stage enterprise AI startup based in Munich, Germany. The company builds AI-powered automation solutions that learn from real human workflows and take over repetitive, screen-based tasks — freeing teams across industries like professional services, insurance, financial services, and customer support to focus on higher-value work. You'll join on-site as a core member of a very small, high-intensity founding team, with significant ownership and direct impact on product and technical direction.

This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and wants to shape a product from the ground up. Visa sponsorship is available. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and ship product features and core technical infrastructure for enterprise customers - Design and implement data pipelines to convert and aggregate large volumes of video (1,000+ hours) and other unstructured data into a data lake - Integrate LLM and VLM pipelines into production product workflows - Develop full-stack components using Python and FastAPI - Collaborate directly with enterprise customers (including PE portfolio company teams) to map processes and identify automation opportunities - Enable scalable integrations to support land-and-expand customer growth strategies WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves (dealbreakers): - 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production systems - Hands-on experience building production-ready RESTful APIs using FastAPI in scalable systems - Proven experience integrating, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs or VLMs in production pipelines Required: - Strong proficiency in Python for production systems - Experience designing and implementing data pipelines for large volumes of unstructured video data, including video processing and analytics workflows - Early-stage startup experience with direct involvement in product and technical decisions - Experience working directly with enterprise customers to map and automate business processes - Hands-on experience with infrastructure, cloud platforms, and deployment - Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across small, cross-functional teams - Ability to operate as a founder-level contributor with high ownership — including shaping product direction Nice to have: - Experience building scalable integrations and APIs for land-and-expand customer strategies - Experience with data aggregation and data lake architecture COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Base salary: €80,000 – €120,000 per year - Meaningful equity as a founding team member - Visa sponsorship available LOCATION This role is on-site in Munich, Germany.

Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Munich office full-time. Remote work is not available for this position.
