ABOUT THE ROLE This is a founding engineering position at a YC-backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate the implementation, migration, and integration of complex enterprise systems. You'll join a small, tight-knit team where your decisions directly shape the architecture and set the standard for every engineer who follows. The work is technically serious — your software runs on production ERP and financial systems where reliability genuinely matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design and build the agent core — planning, execution, and self-healing loops that turn natural-language integration descriptions into production-grade data pipelines. - Own full systems end to end: connectors, transformation engine, execution runtime, web app, SDK, and MCP server. - Identify and tackle the highest-leverage engineering problem each week without waiting for a spec or ticket queue. - Work directly with customers on technical implementations, translating real-world requirements into robust solutions.

- Establish engineering patterns and practices that the next ten hires will build on. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems. - Strong TypeScript proficiency with demonstrated experience building end-to-end applications. - Proficiency in at least one additional language — Python, Go, or C. - Experience designing critical infrastructure with sound judgment on reliability and scalability.

- Hands-on experience with enterprise systems — ERP, CRM, or data warehouse platforms (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, or similar). - Comfortable working directly with customers on technical implementations or escalations. - Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects. - Background in data migration, ETL, or system integration is a strong plus. - Strong CS fundamentals from a rigorous academic or self-taught background.

- Prior experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: €90,000 – €150,000 annually. Equity available. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. LOCATION On-site in Munich, Germany.
